Assam News – Arunachal Pradesh to develop model villages along China border

The Arunachal Pradesh government is all set to convert at least three villages along the India-China border as model villages.

This was informed by Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu on Thursday.

The three villages which are to be developed into model villages are Kaho, Musai and Kibithu in Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh.

CM Khandu said that a special scheme ‘Model Village’ was launched recently to develop villages along border by implementing various central and state government schemes.

The decision of developing remote areas in the state under “model village” scheme was take by the Arunachal government to stop migration of border people to urban centres.

Khandu also informed that 4G towers will also be installed soon in border areas in Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh.

“Airtel bagged the tender for installation of 4G towers in the district and work for the same will start soon,” said CM Khandu.
