Transfer of senior officials of the Assam Police Department continues.
In yet another rejig in the Assam Police, orders of transfer have been issued for three more senior officials of the department.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (Border-II), Guwahati – Lachit Baruah (IPS) has been transferred and posted as DIG (Special Branch), Kahilipara in Guwahati.
Moreover, Additional Superintendent of Police (Special Branch), Chief Minister’s Security – Rupam Phukan (APS) has been transferred as ASP (HQ), Darrang.

Meanwhile, making a partial modification of an earlier notification, ASP (Security), Lakhimpur – Pranjal Borah (APS) has been transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Capital Complex Security), Guwahati.
The order of transfer of these three senior Assam Police officials has been issued by the Home and Political Department of the Assam Government.
