In boys tennis, Muncy defeated Milton, 5-0. Marshall Rothrock earned a straight set win at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-0. At No. 1 singles, Kaleb Meyer beat Milton’s Trace Witter, 6-2, 6-2, and Connor McLean beat Tyler Geiswite, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 3 singles.

The doubles team of Cruz Nagle and Rowan Revata beat Milton’s Luke Embeck and Talen Hoffer, 6-0, 6-0.

Loyalsock edged Shikellamy, 3-2. Jett Pulizzi won at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-4. Shikellamy won at Nos. 2 and 3 singles.

The Lancers swept the doubles competition as Caleb Shimko and Jackson Shangraw won at No. 1 doubles in three sets, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2, and Ryan Cao and Colby Peters won at No. 2 doubles, 7-5, 6-2.

Jersey Shore earned a 5-0 win against Cowanesque Valley. Jackson Stemler won in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 1 singles for the Bulldogs.

At No. 1 doubles, Matt Fravel and Brandon Shrodo won, 6-1, 6-0 and Aaron Baker and Brennan Smith earned a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles.

North Penn-Liberty fell to Towanda, 4-1. The Mounties’ lone win came at No. 1 singles where Daniel Harman won a tight contest, 7-5, 7-6 (7-4).

• Montgomery’s Faith Persing, Vallyn Ault and Abby Cross combined on a one-hitter as the Red Raiders defeated Sugar Valley, 13-1, in five innings. Persing pitched just two innings and struck out six.

Offensively, Taylor McRae and Jenna Waring each went 2 for 2 for Montgomery.

Madison Hardy hit a three-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give Central Mountain a 4-1 win against Danville. Harley Kunes hit a home run in the fifth inning which made it a 1-1 game. Allison Lininger reached base in the eighth with a single, which came after Caitlyn Watsonr peached on an error.

In the circle, Addie McKeague got the win, limiting Danville to just six hits.

• Jack Blough had a double and Shea Girton hit a home run, but Lewisburg fell to Selinsgrove, 8-3, in high school baseball. The Green Dragons cut the deficit to 3-2 in the top of the third, but the Seals responded with two runs in the bottom of the third to go ahead, 5-2.

Ryan Thompson went 3 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs, helping St. John Neumann down Bucktail, 20-9 and win its second straight game.

The Knights (2-1) broke things open when they scored 13 runs in the fourth inning. Naseer Dymeck had a big day as well, going 3 for 4 with a double and four runs. Naz Smith tripled, Jimmy Weller hit a two-run double and Mark Roman also doubled. Kane Wright earned the win on the mound and also drove in two runs. Zach Pick had three hits and scored three times for Bucktail.

Freshman Alex Davis threw a three-hit shutout and also went 2 for 3 with three RBIs as North Penn-Mansfield blanked Towanda, 10-0 in six innings. Catcher Cam Fabian had a big game as well, going 4 for 5 with an RBI and two steals. Fabian also threw out a runner trying to steal for a fourth time this season.

Gavin Morse, Cooper Kitchen and Weston Bellows combined on a five-hitter for Canton, but Northeast Bradford scored three first-inning runs and led the rest of the way, defeating the Warriors, 4-2.

• Three Lycoming College wrestlers earned a spot on the National Wrestling Coaches Association Scholar All-American team. Freshman 149-pounder Logan Bartlett (Lewisburg graduate), junior heavyweight Connor Fulmer and freshman heavyweight Robbie West were honored.

To be eligible for the NWCA Scholar All-American award, a student-athlete must carry a cumulative GPA better than 3.20 or have earned a 3.20 GPA in the past two semesters and meet one of three criteria: qualify for the NCAA Championships, place in the NCAA Regional and win more than half your matches or win more than 66 percent of his matches.

Bartlett finished 25-16 during his rookie season with 11 pins and a technical fall en route to placing eighth at the NCAA Southeast Regional to earn his first Scholar All-American honors.

Fulmer finished 40-3 in his first full year with the Warriors. He placed seventh at the NCAA Championships to earn All-American honors, won the NCAA Southeast Regional and had a 29-match winning streak during the season, helping him finish 20th in the NCAA Division III Most Dominant Wrestler standings.

West posted a 19-9 record in his first year with the Warriors.

• Penn College cruised past Wells in a college softball doubleheader, 29-0 and 20-0. Both games went just five innings. In the first game, the Wildcats collected 16 hits and had 20 in game two. The sweep improves Penn College to 13-6.

Olivia Hemstock went 4 for 6 with six RBIs in the first game, while Margaret Mangene (3 for 4) and Maddie Hurst each had three hits. Jordan Specht had two hits.
