ITANAGAR, 7 Jul: Para-shuttler Biri Takar of Arunachal Pradesh reached the 37th position in the latest BWF para badminton world ranking in the men’s single SL4 category.
Takar had reached the pre-quarterfinals in the BWF Spanish Para-Badminton International, which was held in March this year.
He is the first para-athlete from the Northeast to represent India in an international badminton event.
Takar is currently undergoing training at the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad.
